There are as many approaches to the tarot as there are practitioners. The cards have been around for centuries, and readers have turned to them for assistance in predicting the future, navigating difficult situations, or as messages from the spirits.

There are also many different types of cards available today - the decks I use for public readings use the structure and symbolism of the tarot popularized by the Rider-Waite-Smith deck in the early 20th century.

I take a grounded approach to reading cards. A reading can sometimes hint at possible outcomes to situations or themes in our lives. The cards are full of traditional meaning and symbols - these can help us gain clarity or guide our thinking as we work through life’s ups, downs, and everything in between.

I am a queer woman and a staunch ally to my trans siblings. My readings reject the traditional gender binary, and I love working with tarot decks whose artwork depicts characters of all genders and racial identities. One of my favorites is the Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle.

A tarot reading with me is a conversation. I want to get to know you and your questions for the cards. Tarot is subjective, and we both come to the reading table with expert knowledge - you are the expert in your life and I am the expert in the tarot. Together, we will explore the meaning behind the cards, the place where they land in your spread, and how that relates to your situation and the question at hand.

Anyone of any faith tradition is welcome to come to the cards for wisdom. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to engage in conversation with me as your reader and the cards as your guide.
